The Secret Organization is set to play a huge role in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, though the true confrontation isn’t set to occur until the third season, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has recently been selected.

The streaming service revealed recently that the skilled actor is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will embody Bon Clay. Bon Clay has the ability to morph into an exact copy of any person they’ve touched with their right hand. The actor, who is identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will play a version of that character reimagined as non-binary identifying, instead of as a drag artist, in the real-life adaptation, as in the original manga and cartoon version.

The new cast member joins a number of fresh additions set to bring the group to life, such as head the main antagonist, played by the seasoned performer, Sophia Anne Caruso as another operative, and a familiar face, who also joins the ensemble as the ruler of the fictional land.

Although the role is a important part of the organization, the persona will be introduced in One Piece season 3. With the second season expected to adapt the Little Garden segment, this marks a notable change in the schedule of the character’s debut, one that could suggest additional alterations to the narrative framework.

Escola’s blend of excellent comedic sense and profound feeling makes them a standout choice for the character. In addition to their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and several accolades for writing and starring in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, emphasizing the adaptability they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s highly regarded characters.

Netflix's live-action One Piece program is scheduled to come back for its second season on March 10, 2026.
