Tehran is ready to reinitiate atomic negotiations with the United States on condition that it is approached with "dignity" and "honor", Iran's foreign minister has stated.

The Iranian diplomat stated exclusively dialogue was effective, and revealed new appeals had come from intermediaries to reopen talks with the Trump administration. He claimed Iran had zero unreported enrichment locations, and Tehran was not yet able to authorize the global atomic watchdog to access struck enrichment centers for security reasons.

Walking a Difficult Route

The foreign minister is treading a difficult path since Iran aims to avoid appear to be acting from a position of weakness, and he insisted repeatedly that Iran had arisen more powerful militarily and psychologically from the coordinated strike on its nuclear sites in June.

He was speaking at a security conference in Tehran where he reiterated that Iran had "an absolute privilege to refine atomic fuel on home soil that it will never give up" – the key factor of the stalemate in the earlier negotiations.

Earlier Talks Unexpectedly Terminated

The prior phases of negotiations between the United States and Iran were concluded unexpectedly and bitter termination on 12 June when the Israeli government, with American backing, targeted Iran's enrichment centers in a 12-day war that ended with the American leader asserting the facilities had been eliminated. Subsequently, Western states used their right to reimpose UN-wide sanctions, but Iran maintains they have not had a significant effect.

Ideal Resolution Offered

Iran's diplomats said they felt they had reached a "ideal resolution" to the nuclear fuel concern in prior discussions, when it was agreed an local partnership with American involvement could process nuclear material. The two nations would have been able to declare success since domestic enrichment would have continued and the US could be assured that Iran's atomic project was exclusively peaceful.

It had not been settled in the talks that US nuclear scientists could work on Iranian soil, but that was a logical implication of the cooperative offer. Araghchi said: "It was not Iran that had deserted diplomacy; it was the United States and the European states that had consistently attempted to dictate their will during the talks. Recovery and Reconstruction

In what is described by Tehran representatives as the struggle of repair and recovery, the foreign minister said he was assured Iran's defence capabilities "are much stronger than prior to 13 or 14 June of this year. Every aspect of our defense have been reestablished. We learned numerous insights from this conflict; we have come to know our internal vulnerabilities and the shortcomings of the adversary."

He added: "We successfully passed this engagement. Our enrichment knowledge, which they intended to eliminate, continues to exist. The sites and equipment, if destroyed, will be restored; what is important is the determination of the citizens of Tehran and then the social solidarity that they aimed at, but were unable to destroy. The Iranian people have become more powerful, more integrated, and more backing of the leadership and the state in the face of this invasion."
