Loyal fans of the pop star are demanding that a person who leaped a barricade and seized the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared footage shows the person identified as Johnson Wen pushing past media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the cast walked down a promenade flanked by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being led away of the gathering by security officers.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram recently that he was "free after being taken in", though court documents revealed that he was set to be present on the next day. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

Record of Disruptions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has invaded a concert or event. His Instagram feed includes recordings of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at the artist's Sydney show in recently and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers event in the city last winter.

"Measures must be taken taken against him as this is obviously a legal violation," wrote an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" another Instagram user remarked.

Fans Voice Worry Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Several supporters criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed dealing with trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the finale of her 2017 performance in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and wounding hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" commented one more response on Instagram.

Some fans also criticised security officers at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals called for digital services to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In videos shared widely, Grande seemed surprised when she was grabbed by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the remaining proceedings continued without further issues.

Hundreds of attendees had gathered in a crowd of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore venue, including a number who had queued for as long as a significant duration before it started.

The motion picture, to be premiered on November 21, is the second of a dual interpretation of the acclaimed stage production Wicked, which centers on the unlikely friendship between two distinct characters.

The show itself is a adaptation of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the good witch Glinda, was adorned in a rosé sparkling outfit at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a sleek black dress decorated with roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the top-earning movie of last year in the UK, and received 10 Oscar nominations, securing several for excellent wardrobe and production design.
