This is the most recent addition in a long-running military shooter series often framed as a grittier response to Call of Duty.

Responding To Previous Shortcomings

This title comes off the back of the sci-fi Battlefield 2042, published in the past to a poor feedback it had difficulty to recover from.

"We probably would find it impossible to make and develop this new game without the lessons we had in the previous title," Rebecka tells the press.

A key those takeaways was to engage players participating from the start, and the developers launched exclusive fan playtests earlier this year.

This "response was explosively encouraging," comments she.

A further absent ingredient from Battlefield 2042 was a story mode, which has been restored for this release.

The Guildford team design director Fasahat "Fas" Salim is the person responsible for "making sure those missions are as enjoyable and interesting as feasible for the players."

In spite of reports that the scale of the game had challenged the multiple teams partnering globally to build the game, he is upbeat about the endeavor.

"Collaborating with different backgrounds, distinct backgrounds, it's a very interesting setting to be part of on a regular basis," he shares.

"This entire strategy has been an innovation but also very inspiring because we are collaborating with people from internationally."

Regarding the pressure on the developers, the director says: "There is pressure but at the same time it's thrilling.

"It's a big venture. It's arguably the most significant that many of us have before worked on."

Young Talent Adds New Insight
